We were sad to leave Mr. Sam So but the Mekong River calls. We had lunch in Siem Reap before boarding a bus to convey us to the start of our river cruise. We had to take a bus because the river at this time of year is too low to take it all the way from Siem Reap. We stopped twice along the way, once at a place called Spider Town where we were greeted by a teenage girl holding/wearing a spider the size of her hand. They eat them here as well as crickets. When they catch the spiders they defang them, but we still did not want to hold one. Dinner on the ship was traditionally Cambodian and delicious.
Goodbye Lunch with Mr. Sam So - where we happened to meet a French couple who would be on our river boat
