A Courtyard Surrounded by Riches

The oldest museum of the Dordogne has an emphasis on prehistory with a collection of approximately 18,000 artifacts. These include a plethora of tools, art objects, fossil human remains and even a woolly mammoth tusk.  It is a ‘classical’ museum in the traditional 19th century sense.
