We took local boats from the ship to visit the house of the real-life lover of Marguerite Duras and then strolled through the impressive local marketplace. Later we toured a cavernous pottery factory. We then visited a factory/shop where we learned how they make pop rice and rice paper, as well as coconut candy. We boated through the river and canals at sunset and visited the Bac Duc Ancient House which is a colonial-era residence with extensive gardens. Also, there were more coconuts.
