This town of 6,500 has all the hallmarks of a small French town set in the countryside. Cobblestones, daub and wattle buildings, history for days (well, centuries actually), a lovely covered farmers' market (Tuesdays and Saturdays), bakeries, restaurants, and most importantly an excellent and friendly chocolate shop, the confiserie: à la Rosière (at the Rose Garden).
